Evolution of the American Soldier,’ an interactive look at the shifts in the day-to-day life of a soldier, tracks the changes of the American soldier from World War I through World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan & Iraq. I produced the interactive piece on a tight deadline, working intimately with the design, photography and production teams. Authentic uniforms from each period were modeled by Army Sgt. Keegan Waldrop — a native of Pearl River, La., who has served five tours in Iraq. Sgt. Waldrup is now a recruiter based at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, N.Y.
