Watchmen: Series Campaign

Based on the iconic graphic novel of the same name, HBO’s Watchmen introduced a world begging for immersion. HBO answered the call with multiple Augmented Reality experiences. From the Doctor Manhattan AR booth at Comic Con to the Sister Night Snapchat lens and the Squid Fall Instagram AR effect, the Watchmen community felt a part of the story through the rich, immersive AR activations. 

To further build out the series’ world, HBO launched “PeteyPedia,” a dossier from the mind of supporting character Agent Dale Petey. Designed to pay homage to the original look of the graphic novel, this site was updated episodically with multiple pieces written by series creator Damon Lindelof and story editor Jeff Jensen.

Role: Led digital production and emerging technology teams responsible for all digital builds, including websites and AR experiences.
